On September 11th 1960 in Nova Gorica a monument was dedicatd to Edvard Rusjan, pioneer aviator and the first pilot of Slovene origin.
Edvard Rusjan built the plane alone and only with the help of his brother and flew already in the year 1909 high up into the sky.
