The Ceremonial House was originally built for the purposes of cultural events facilitated by city, city-council and public catholic school. Monumental building in classicistic fashion is placed on the border of historical city center. It contains theatre hall and complex of representative spaces. Owing to its porticus in the form of high arcs, high windows and a massive parterre with horizontal travertine bossage decoration, the building resembles the expression of palace buildings of Italian renaissance or Italian modernist architecture of the 1930s. Travertine facing is to be found on the facades of the building and in the interior as well. The adjacent staircases and ramps made of stone were part of the same project and were constructed for bridging the building with the level of the square. |
